Five Years Without a Changeout at the ASHRAE HQ!

Five Years Without a Changeout at the ASHRAE HQ!

Dynamic V8® air cleaner performance surprised the building's owners when the media exceeded 5 years without replacement and continuous monitors verified the indoor air was consistently >50% cleaner than the outdoor air for both particles (PM2.5 and PM10) and TVOCs.

In the ASHRAE Journal article "Lessons Learned From ASHRAE HQ Renovation" in 2014, published five years after this install: “Somewhat unexpectedly to us, but not to the manufacturer, all of the original filter media...is still in place after five years of operation.” The Dynamic V8s continue to clean the air in this facility after only two media changes over 17 years of installation.

Protecting the World's Finest Art Collections

barnes

For over 13 years, Dynamic products continue to protect one of the world’s finest art collections at the Barnes Foundation. Dynamic V8® Air Cleaners remove harmful fine and ultrafine particles and Dynamic EDGE® panels capture corrosive gases resulting in excellent IAQ for the art gallery collections.

Both Dynamic V8s and Dynamic EDGE operate at low static pressure reducing energy usage and helped to earn LEED credits. The museum was also designed to exceed ASHRAE 90.1 energy standard by an impressive 43%.

Are You Breathing Microplastics?

microplastics

You may have heard of microplastics in drinking water, but did you know that microplastics can also be in the air? In the newest Dynamic white paper, Lead Chemical Engineer Caitlin Naske walks through what airborne microplastics are, where they come from and what you can do to remove them from the air you breathe.

90-97% Particle Reduction during an Extreme Wildfire Event!

Dynamic Wildfire HQ 2023

Wildfires and smoke plumes continue to impact communities across the US, Canada and Europe. Our thoughts are with everyone dealing with the health, safety and air quality impacts of these events.

During the week of July 17th, the wildfire smoke reached our own headquarters in Princeton, NJ and our air cleaners were put to the test. Even as outdoor air quality deteriorated significantly, indoor particle counts were reduced by 90 – 97% across all particle sizes. This isn’t theory. It’s measured data from real wildfire events at our own building.

For more details on how Dynamic’s air cleaners performed during the 2023 wildfire smoke event, see our ➡️ Wildfire Post Script

A detailed comparison of the 2023 and 2026 wildfire events soon to come!

Supporting LEED Efforts at Yale

Yale University

Dynamic V8 Air Cleaners saved significant energy in a Yale University LEED project averaging 3-5 year media changes outs and ROI payback of less than 2 years!

Dynamic V8s reduce operational costs by providing approximately 1.0” w.g. reduction in static pressure when compared to passive pre-filters and MERV14 cartridge filters. This provides the owners significant ongoing energy savings due to lower fan horsepower consumption.

Back-to-School with Improved IAQ

IAQ in School

New backpacks, water bottles and crisp notebooks- students are back to school! One invisible factor that plays a crucial role in their health, learning and academic performance: Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor air pollutant levels can be 2-5X higher than outdoor levels. This is particularly concerning since most students and staff spend about 90% of their time indoors. Poor indoor air quality doesn’t just affect health – it impacts learning outcomes, increases absenteeism and can lower standardized test scores.

The good news? There are proven solutions. Dynamic air cleaning systems improve air quality in school classrooms, gymnasiums and common areas while delivering energy savings and reduced maintenance costs.
